Golf – Tiger Woods Knee
Even the great athletes run into the frailness of the human body. Putting pressure on individual joints in ways that the body was not made to withstand always catches up with a person at some point in their career or life. So it is with Tiger Woods, the golfer some say will be considered the greatest golfer of all time. Taking care of a knee issue now was recommended and taking care of it now is what he plans to do.

No stranger to surgery

Tiger Woods surgery will not be something new to the remarkable golfer. In 2002, he had some work done on his knee to drain fluid and remove a benign cyst. That surgery took him out of golf for just over a month, with most of that time being over Christmas. This surgery will keep him out of golf for about the same length of time as he follows his rehabilitation in Park City Utah.

Playing through the pain

When Tiger Woods had his first bought with a knee procedure he had been playing through the pain to make several tournaments. This time out, however, doctors recommended that he take care of the issue sooner rather then later. After all, it was pointed out, he is a relatively young player with many years left in his PGA career. After that, of course, comes the PGA senior tour. There is absolutely no reason for him to play with pain and shorten his potential golf career.

See it in the face

Tiger Woods was definitely not bringing his “A” game to the Masters this past month. All one needed to do was look at his face. The intensity, although always there, didn’t seem to be quite the same as it usually is. Anybody can finish 3 shots back after being 6 shots back after the second round. But don’t most of us, less then perfect golfers, always expect him to make up the deficit on Sunday.

The pursuit of records

Tiger Woods surgery may slow him down half a step in his quest to hold the most Major titles but only half a step. He has been through the process before and came out of it with flying colors. He also took personal time after the death of his father and came back even stronger then before the tragedy. If there is one thing that this golf player brings to the course it is determination. The mans’ work ethic is remarkable. Taking a look at his body says volumes about his ability to set a goal and achieve it in spades. He has been through rehab before so his return will likely find him stronger and more motivated to win a few more majors before the end of this years tour schedule.

What’s not to like?

There are some people that have just “got it.” Who knows what “it” is but people that have it are truly blessed and can make wine out of just about anything. Spectators or tour colleagues all know that he’ll be back as quick as he can and that they had better win as many tournaments as possible before he does.
